Notices:
We want your stay to be pleasant and full of fun! Please read the list of notices prior to booking your stay at the Haliburton Bothy. If you have any questions, please contact Elaine Fockler directly.
Potable Water:
- Running water in the bathroom and kitchen is pumped up from the lake and is not suitable for drinking, but fine for washing dishes and showering/bathing.
- Guests will need to bring their own drinking water for their tea, coffee, washing vegetables, cooking, brushing teeth, etc.
Security:
- For our guests safety and security, we have installed security cameras at the entrances to both cottages.
- They are on the external walls and face the entrance and parking area.
Restrictions:
Pets:
- Limit 2 dogs per entire property
- Dogs must be fully house trained
- Dogs must be contained to the property borders – within sight. The property does not have fencing. Please bring your own stake and cabling if required.
- We ask that you please clean up after them and be considerate of future guests to the Bothy.
Amenities:
- Loft in The Loch House is off-limits
- Tool Shed by driveway is off-limits
- Motor Boats are off-limits
Guests:
- The Loch House is limited to 5 guests
- The Nest is limited to 7 guests
- Total guests permitted on site is not to exceed 12 guests
- Absolutely no additional guests (daily or nightly)
- No Tents/Camping on premises
- No RVs/Trailers on premises
Garbage:
- All garbage must be removed by the guests
- Do not leave garbage outside – it may attract bears and other wildlife
- You may burn organic food waste and recyclable paper products
- Do not burn plastic garbage.
Additional Restrictions:
- Smoking is not permitted within either cottage or on the porch of either cottage
- Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly in the fire pit or garbages
- Fires permitted as per local campfire restrictions. It is the booker’s responsibility to monitor these restrictions and any changes that are released during your stay.
- Firewood is not provided. Please bring your own, there are many roadside stops on your drive up to our property.
- No fireworks
- No parties, drugs, guns or any other illegal substances or activities.
- Quiet Time is after 11pm
- No linen service – Bring your own towels and bed linens
